How to sell your products or service is an important issue. In this short article I want to give you five keys that will help you improve your selling skills:

The Five Keys

1. Understand your clients pains: The more you understand the pain of your client the easier it is going to be for you sell your products. The easier it it to sell; the more confident you become!

2. Listen to your clients: When you start the selling process you need to spend a lot time listening to your clients. Ask questions instead of talking. Listen and then tell them how your product fits their requests.

3. Talk about Benefits not features: A laptop has 500 gig, 4 gig of RAM and HD. Those are features. But if you are told you can save 1 million word documents on it and that it is so fast that once you click; you are there; those are Benefits. Always talk about Benefits not features!

4. Generate a lot of leads: A company who sells to businesses with an average sale of $100,000 per sale says that to get 17 sales they needed 4800 leads. OK that is a lot of leads. I know! But the deal is that if you are just starting in business, without a great reputation you need a lot of leads so that if one person does not buy you are not under pressure. Being under pressure can cause you to be a bad sales person!

5. Not everyone will like your products: No matter how well you perform not everyone will buy from you. That is fine so the idea is not to take it personally otherwise you will be reluctant to continue.
