When building a business plan, I recommend including the Executive Summary immediately following a table of contents. This allows those reviewing your business plan to locate the Executive Summary quickly and easily. On occasion I have have be specifically asked to place it in another location, but that is not the normal experience.
I will arrange the business plan in this order:
- Front page with the name of business and business plan writer, address & contact details
- Table of content
- Executive summary
- Marketing plan
- Operations plan
- Financial plan
- Appendices
